Terms of Service

Last updated: September 26, 2026

These Terms of Service apply when you access Statskan.com, request a quote, purchase a service, attend a tutoring session, or use material supplied by Statskan. By using the website or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the service.

1. About Statskan

Statskan provides statistics tutoring, homework guidance, calculator guidance, software-output support, and data or software project assistance through statskan.com. References to “Statskan,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to the service operating under the Statskan brand.

You can contact Statskan through the Contact page or at info@statskan.com.

2. Services and Confirmed Scope

Available support may include live tutoring, explanations, review of a student’s attempt, worked examples, calculator guidance, statistical-method selection, interpretation of output, and assistance with SPSS, Excel, R, Stata, or related data tasks.

The exact service is defined by the written scope confirmed before work begins. That confirmation may identify the question, dataset, software, method, deliverable, deadline, session length, price, and any limits. Messages or files received after confirmation do not automatically expand the scope.

3. Eligibility and Accurate Information

You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to purchase a service. You agree to provide accurate contact, payment, assignment, deadline, and course-rule information.

Statskan may decline or stop a request when necessary information is missing, the requested work is outside available expertise, payment has not been arranged, or the request conflicts with the Honor Code.

4. Quotes, Prices, and Payment

Starting prices shown on the website are not final quotes for every request. The final price depends on the confirmed scope, complexity, files, software, deadline, and support format. Prices and payment currency are confirmed before purchase.

Work or a tutoring reservation begins only after Statskan confirms availability, scope, price, and the required payment arrangement. You are responsible for any payment-provider, bank, currency-conversion, or tax charges disclosed by the relevant provider.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact Statskan promptly with the transaction details. This request to contact us first does not remove any dispute or consumer rights that apply under law or through your payment provider.

5. Deadlines, Sessions, and Delivery

Deadlines and tutoring times are confirmed for each request. You must provide the correct deadline and time zone. Delays caused by missing instructions, inaccessible files, changed requirements, late replies, or third-party software may require a new delivery estimate.

If Statskan expects a material delay, we will try to notify you using the contact details supplied. Delivery may occur by email, an agreed file-transfer method, a tutoring link, or another method confirmed for the request.

6. Corrections and Revisions

Correction requests are reviewed against the original confirmed scope. An error, a missed agreed requirement, or clarification of existing material may qualify for correction. A new prompt, dataset, method, software package, question, or expanded deliverable is usually new scope and may require a separate quote.

See the Revision Policy for the request process, exclusions, and service-specific details.

7. Cancellations and Refund Requests

Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the confirmed scope, whether work or a tutoring reservation has begun, what has already been delivered, and any payment-provider or legal requirements that apply.

Send a request promptly with the transaction details and the reason for the request. Refunds are not based solely on a grade, instructor decision, or outcome that Statskan does not control. Duplicate charges and material failures to provide an agreed service are reviewed using the evidence available.

See the Refund Policy for the current process and eligibility factors.

8. Your Materials and Permitted Use

You retain ownership of material you provide. You give Statskan a limited permission to access, copy, process, and share that material only as reasonably needed to review the request, provide the confirmed service, handle support, meet legal obligations, and protect the service.

Unless the confirmed scope states otherwise, material supplied by Statskan is licensed to you for personal learning and reference use. Third-party software, datasets, publications, and other materials remain subject to their own licences and rights.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

Personal information and submitted materials are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Information may be shared with service providers or people involved in fulfilling the request when reasonably necessary, subject to appropriate handling requirements.

Do not submit passwords, student-portal credentials, unnecessary identity documents, or sensitive personal information that is not required for the service.

10. Academic Integrity and Prohibited Uses

Statskan supports learning, explanation, review, and permitted guidance. You are responsible for following the rules of your course, instructor, institution, employer, or assessment provider.

You must not use Statskan to:

  • complete a live, timed, proctored, or restricted assessment;
  • access or operate a student, course, testing, or institutional account;
  • impersonate another person or conceal assistance that must be disclosed;
  • fabricate data, results, sources, citations, or research activity;
  • violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or institutional rules;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, scrape, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the website or service.

See the Honor Code for practical examples of acceptable and prohibited requests.

11. No Grade or Outcome Guarantee

Statskan does not guarantee a grade, admission decision, publication result, instructor approval, software result, employment outcome, or other result controlled by a third party. Statistical guidance can contain errors or require assumptions that depend on information you provide. You remain responsible for reviewing the material and deciding how it may be used.

12. Third-Party Services

The website or service may depend on payment processors, video platforms, messaging services, file-transfer tools, analytics, software packages, or external links. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Statskan is not responsible for outages, policy changes, or content controlled by those providers.

13. Service Availability and Changes

Statskan may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature or refuse a request when reasonably necessary. We may update these Terms by posting the revised version and updated date on this page. Changes do not retroactively alter a separately confirmed scope unless the parties agree or the change is required by law.

14. Liability and Mandatory Rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Statskan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or service. To the extent a monetary limit is permitted, Statskan’s aggregate liability for a claim relating to a specific paid service will not exceed the amount paid for that service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The laws that apply to a transaction may provide additional rights.

15. Resolving Concerns

Contact Statskan with the relevant messages, files, transaction details, and the resolution you are requesting. We will review the concern in good faith. This process does not prevent either party from using rights or remedies available under applicable law.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Contact page, by email at info@statskan.com, or through the WhatsApp contact option displayed on the website.

Share your question, what you have tried, and your deadline. We’ll confirm the scope, availability, and price before work begins.
